Dick Sijm is the Director of the Risk Assessment & Research Office (BuRO) at the NVWA and an endowed professor of "Food Safety in a Sustainable Economy" at Maastricht University. He has a background in environmental chemistry and toxicology and extensive experience in chemical safety and risk assessment.
